Montvale, NJ – Four Season Sunroom

A modern four-season sunroom designed to provide year-round comfort and panoramic outdoor views. Featuring remote-controlled windows, advanced glazing systems, and weather-resistant construction, this project seamlessly combines functionality, energy efficiency, and contemporary design.

This custom 20 ft x 16 ft four-season sunroom is one of the most unique and creative projects ever completed by Vision Art Aluminium. Rather than building a traditional patio enclosure, our client wanted to create a true home addition that would seamlessly connect the existing living room with a modern glass sunroom while providing year-round comfort, panoramic backyard views, and a luxury entertainment space for the entire family.

From the initial design consultation, our goal was to create a space that looked and felt like it had always been part of the original home—not an addition built years later.

To achieve this, we designed and engineered every detail of the project from the ground up.

The first step was constructing a fully insulated raised deck system over the existing concrete patio. This created a much better thermal barrier, improved year-round comfort, and provided the proper foundation for a true four-season living space.

The biggest transformation came when we removed the existing 6-foot sliding patio door. After completing the necessary structural reinforcement, we opened the rear wall of the house and installed a spectacular 16-foot custom aluminum bifold door featuring premium European engineered hardware for exceptionally smooth and effortless operation.

When the bifold door is fully opened, the original living room and the new sunroom become one large open-concept space, completely changing how the family experiences their home.

Following our signature philosophy of “More Glass. Less Frame.”, we designed the sunroom using oversized panoramic insulated glass panels and ultra-slim thermally broken aluminum framing. Instead of breaking the views with multiple small windows, we maximized the glass area to flood the interior with natural light while creating uninterrupted panoramic views of the backyard. The clean architectural lines give the entire addition a modern luxury appearance while maintaining outstanding structural strength and energy efficiency.

The roof system was engineered using our steel-reinforced aluminum structure, providing exceptional durability while allowing large glass openings throughout the project. We also installed double-glazed Low-E tempered insulated glass, delivering outstanding thermal performance, reduced heat transfer, UV protection, and year-round comfort during both New Jersey winters and summers.

One of the most exciting features of this project is the custom entertainment concept designed specifically for the homeowners. They wanted the sunroom to become a private home theater where family and friends could enjoy movies and sporting events in a completely different environment.

To make that vision possible, we installed a premium motorized ZIP screen system using a specialized projection fabric. At the touch of a button, the panoramic glass room transforms into a comfortable theater space while preserving the flexibility to enjoy open backyard views during the day. The large television and surround sound system complete one of the most innovative residential entertainment spaces we have ever built.

Every element of this project was custom designed, engineered, and manufactured by Vision Art Aluminium with one objective—to create a beautiful, functional living space that combines modern architecture, premium European craftsmanship, outstanding energy efficiency, and everyday comfort.
