Vision Art Aluminium Product & Installation Warranty
The Vision Art Aluminium Warranty provides clear coverage information for our sunrooms, pergolas, doors, windows, architectural glazing, finishes, motors, and related systems.
At Vision Art Aluminium, we believe premium architectural aluminum and glass systems should be supported by clear, transparent warranty information.
Because our work includes custom four-season sunrooms, patio enclosures, motorized pergolas, panoramic sliding doors, bi-fold doors, aluminum windows, pivot doors, storefronts, curtain-wall systems, and other residential and commercial architectural glazing, warranty coverage varies according to the product, selected system, project application, environmental exposure, finish specification, and manufacturer requirements.
This page provides a general overview of our warranty structure.
The warranty stated in the individual project proposal, contract, approved specifications, manufacturer documentation, or project-specific warranty certificate will always govern that particular project.
Sunrooms, Patio Enclosures & Pergolas
For qualifying Vision Art Aluminium outdoor structures, including custom sunrooms, patio enclosures, and pergola systems, our standard limited warranty schedule is:
| Component | Limited Warranty |
|---|---|
| Manufacturing Defects | 5 Years |
| Aluminum Painted / Powder-Coated Finish | 5 Years |
| Motors | 5 Years |
| Electrical Accessories | 2 Years |
| PVC Accessories | 2 Years |
These warranty periods apply under normal use, proper care, required maintenance, and the conditions stated in the individual project agreement.
Certain components may also carry separate warranties provided directly by their manufacturer. When manufacturer-specific coverage applies, the applicable manufacturer documentation will govern that component.
Architectural Powder-Coated Aluminum Finishes
The performance of an architectural aluminum finish depends on more than color.
Powder formulation, aluminum preparation, pretreatment, coating application, environmental exposure, project location, maintenance, and the selected performance specification can all affect long-term appearance and durability.
Where specified for the project, Vision Art Aluminium uses architectural powder-coating systems incorporating QUALICOAT-approved coating materials and appropriate pretreatment specifications.
QUALICOAT is an international quality-label program for coatings on architectural aluminum. Its specifications establish requirements relating to coating materials, pretreatment, application processes, coating facilities, and finished architectural aluminum products.
The coating specification selected for an individual Vision Art project depends on the application and expected environmental conditions.
Projects may require different performance classifications, enhanced pretreatment, or Seaside-type preparation depending on location and exposure.
The exact coating system applicable to a project will be identified through the project specifications or manufacturer documentation where required.
Coastal, Seaside & High-Exposure Projects
Properties located near the ocean, saltwater, waterfront environments, high-moisture areas, industrial environments, or other aggressive exposure conditions require additional consideration.
For these projects, Vision Art Aluminium may recommend an enhanced architectural coating specification, specialized pretreatment, upgraded hardware, specific glazing, additional protection, or more frequent maintenance.
QUALICOAT recognizes additional pretreatment requirements associated with its Seaside designation for more demanding corrosion environments.
Selecting the appropriate specification is important because a standard residential finish may not be suitable for every coastal or high-exposure installation.
For this reason, warranty coverage on aluminum finishes may vary according to:
- Project location
- Distance from coastal or saltwater exposure
- Environmental conditions
- Selected coating system
- Pretreatment specification
- Powder-coating performance level
- Maintenance requirements
- Residential or commercial application
Coastal and high-exposure installations generally require more frequent cleaning and inspection to remove salt, pollutants, dirt, and other contaminants from aluminum surfaces, tracks, hardware, drainage systems, and moving components.
Doors, Windows & Architectural Glazing
Warranty coverage for Vision Art Aluminium doors, windows, panoramic sliding systems, bi-fold systems, pivot doors, storefronts, curtain walls, and other architectural glazing products is project-specific.
Unlike our standard outdoor-structure warranty schedule, we do not apply one universal warranty term to every door and window system.
Depending on the selected product, coating specification, manufacturer, environmental exposure, hardware, glazing package, residential or commercial application, and project requirements, warranty coverage may generally begin at 5 years and extend up to 25 years on qualifying systems.
For example, a residential aluminum door installed in a protected inland environment may use a different coating and warranty specification from a commercial façade or glazing system located in a coastal environment.
Similarly, different architectural powder-coating performance specifications may provide different levels of long-term weathering performance.
This is why the appropriate system and finish are selected according to the individual project rather than applying the same specification everywhere.
The exact warranty period for each door, window, or commercial glazing project will be stated in the project proposal, contract, approved specification, manufacturer documentation, or warranty certificate.
Residential vs. Commercial Warranty Coverage
Residential and commercial projects can have significantly different operating and environmental requirements.
Commercial entrances, storefronts, curtain walls, high-traffic door systems, large glazing assemblies, and building-envelope systems may experience more frequent operation and different exposure conditions than typical residential installations.
Accordingly, the warranty for a commercial project may be determined by:
- Selected aluminum system
- Architectural coating specification
- Glass configuration
- Hardware specification
- Expected frequency of operation
- Building exposure
- Coastal or environmental conditions
- Manufacturer requirements
- Project-specific maintenance requirements
The project-specific written warranty will identify the applicable coverage.
Glass & Insulated Glazing
Vision Art Aluminium projects may incorporate double-pane or triple-pane insulated glass, tempered safety glass, laminated glass, Low-E coatings, argon-filled insulated units, and other specialty glazing depending on the project.
Warranty coverage for insulated glass units and specialty glazing can vary according to the glass manufacturer, system supplier, project application, and glazing specification.
Where applicable, manufacturer-specific coverage for insulated-glass seals, coatings, or other glass components will be identified in the individual project documentation.
Unless specifically covered by the applicable written warranty, glass breakage caused by impact, accidental damage, misuse, structural movement, building settlement, or external events is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Motors, Automation & Electrical Components
Vision Art Aluminium projects can incorporate motorized pergola roofs, motorized windows, retractable systems, shades, screens, sensors, controls, and other automated components.
For qualifying sunroom and pergola systems, our standard limited warranty includes:
Motors — 5 Years
Electrical Accessories — 2 Years
Certain motorized and electrical components may also carry separate manufacturer warranties.
Where a manufacturer provides different or additional coverage, the applicable manufacturer documentation will govern that component.
Damage caused by improper electrical supply, unauthorized wiring, power surges, water intrusion from unrelated construction, misuse, or modification by others may not be covered.
PVC & Accessory Components
Qualifying PVC accessories used within applicable sunroom and pergola systems carry a standard limited warranty of:
PVC Accessories — 2 Years
Coverage applies to manufacturing defects under normal use and proper maintenance.
Normal aging, cosmetic changes, damage from chemicals, impact, improper cleaning, extreme environmental conditions, or unauthorized alterations may not qualify as manufacturing defects.
Installation & Workmanship
Vision Art Aluminium stands behind the professional installation of the systems we provide.
Where workmanship or installation coverage applies, the specific warranty period and conditions will be identified in the individual project contract or warranty documentation.
Installation coverage relates only to work performed directly within Vision Art Aluminium’s contracted scope.
It does not extend to defects or failures originating from work performed by others, including existing foundations, structural framing, roofing, masonry, waterproofing, electrical systems, interior finishes, drainage, or other construction outside our contracted scope.
Proper Maintenance Protects Your Warranty
Architectural aluminum and glass systems require routine care to maintain appearance, operation, drainage, and performance.
Depending on the product and environment, recommended maintenance may include:
- Cleaning aluminum surfaces periodically
- Cleaning glass with appropriate non-abrasive products
- Keeping door and window tracks free of debris
- Keeping drainage and weep systems clear
- Inspecting gaskets and seals
- Maintaining moving hardware
- Using manufacturer-approved lubricants where required
- Keeping motorized components free from obstruction
- Inspecting exposed fasteners and connections
- Following manufacturer maintenance requirements
Properties in coastal, seaside, industrial, high-humidity, or high-pollution environments may require significantly more frequent maintenance.
Using harsh chemicals, abrasive products, incompatible cleaning agents, or unauthorized coatings may damage architectural finishes and affect warranty coverage.
What Is Generally Not Covered
Unless the individual project warranty specifically states otherwise, limited warranty coverage generally does not include damage or failure caused by:
- Accidents, misuse, abuse, or negligence
- Impact damage or accidental glass breakage
- Improper cleaning or lack of required maintenance
- Unauthorized modifications or repairs
- Work performed by third parties
- Structural movement or settlement of the building
- Failure of foundations or existing structural components
- Roofing, waterproofing, masonry, framing, or electrical work outside Vision Art Aluminium’s contracted scope
- Improper electrical supply or power surges
- Flooding, fire, extreme weather events, or other extraordinary conditions
- Normal wear of serviceable or consumable components
- Environmental corrosion where required maintenance has not been performed
- Exposure beyond the specification selected for the project
- Damage occurring after unauthorized alteration of the system
Additional exclusions may apply depending on the product, manufacturer, project type, and written project warranty.
Project-Specific Warranty Takes Priority
This is one of the most important parts of our warranty policy.
Vision Art Aluminium provides many different aluminum-and-glass systems for residential and commercial applications. Different products can carry different manufacturer warranties, coating specifications, environmental classifications, and coverage periods.
For that reason:
The project-specific warranty always takes priority over the general information displayed on this page.
If a proposal, signed contract, approved project specification, manufacturer warranty, or warranty certificate provides different coverage, terms, exclusions, or warranty periods, the written project-specific documentation will govern.
This allows Vision Art Aluminium to provide the appropriate warranty for the actual system being installed rather than applying a single warranty period to products with very different technical specifications.
Warranty Coverage From 5 to 25 Years
For clarity, Vision Art Aluminium’s warranty structure can generally be understood this way:
Sunrooms & Pergolas: Standard limited warranty schedule shown on this page.
Doors, Windows & Architectural Glazing: Project-specific warranty coverage that may begin at 5 years and extend up to 25 years on qualifying systems, depending on the selected system, architectural coating specification, environmental exposure, manufacturer, and application.
Coastal / Seaside / High-Exposure Projects: Special coating, pretreatment, hardware, maintenance, and warranty conditions may apply.
Commercial Projects: Warranty is determined by the approved project specification and applicable manufacturer documentation.
This approach allows the warranty to reflect the actual performance specification selected for each project.
